The Grand Palace

The Grand Palace is the most well-known landmark in the city. It was built in 1782 and served as the official residence of the Kings of Thailand from the 18th century onwards. The present King of Thailand, King Rama IX, however, resides at the Chitralada Palace.

Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho)

It is the largest and oldest Buddhist temple in Thailand. The largest Buddha in Thailand resides in the temple and is known as the Reclining Buddha. The temple is also famous for being the center of the traditional Thai massage.
